Ina SchieferdeckerProf. Dr.-Ing. Ina Schieferdecker has been head of the Department of Research for Innovation and Digitization at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research since 01.10.2019. Previously, she was head of the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems (FOKUS), professor at the Technical University of Berlin for Quality Engineering of Open Distributed Systems, and director of the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society, the German Internet Institute.

She is a member of the Academy of Engineering Sciences (acatech). She has been, among other things, a member of the Advisory Council on Global Change to the Federal Government (WBGU), the High-Tech Forum 2025 (HTF), the Sustainability 2030 Science Platform, and scientific and technical director of the Technology Foundation Berlin (TSB).

She has received numerous awards for her scientific work, including the EUREKA Innovation Award and the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation Prize for Young University Teachers.

Ina Schieferdecker was born on March 18, 1967 in Berlin and studied Mathematical Computer Science at the Humboldt University in Berlin. She completed her doctorate at the Technical University (TU) Berlin in 1994.

Mrs. Schieferdecker became a member of the GTB just one day after it was founded, and has therefore been involved right from the very beginning. Since then she has supported the work of the GTB with many interesting contributions. Especially her involvement in the development of the MBT, TTCN-3, TAE and CP4IoT syllabi as well as the support of the cooperation with Malaysia and the Exam working group should be mentioned in this context.
