With the Advanced Level Test Management v3.0, the ISTQB® offers a comprehensive training programme for professionals who want to deepen their test management skills.
Advanced Level Test Management 3.0 is a new release of the Advanced Level Test Manager 2.0.
Core content of the curriculum
- Management of test activities: Planning, monitoring, controlling and finalizing test processes.
- Context of testing: Managing projects in different contexts.
- Risk-based testing: Identifying and assessing risks to focus testing activities.
- Test strategies for projects: Defining a strategy (including test objectives) and selecting the appropriate test approach.
- Test process improvement: Implementation of retrospectives for the continuous optimization of test processes.
- Introduction of test tools: Selection and implementation of suitable tools, taking into account risks, costs and benefits.
- Test metrics and test estimation: Monitoring and control of tests, selection of test estimation methods.
- Defect management: Definition of workflows suitable for different software development models.
- Team management: Analyzing and developing the required skills within the test team.
- Business case for testing activities: preparation and presentation of cost-benefit analyses for testing projects
