Raffle Terms and Conditions

We are conducting a raffle. Participation is open to anyone aged 18 or over.

Prize: A free ticket to Software QS Day 2026, taking place on 11 and 12 November 2026 in Frankfurt, Germany.

Participation: Please fill in the form, copy one sentence from any article published on the GTB blog into the comments field, and submit the completed form.

Participation period: 1 September 2026 – 30 September 2026 (inclusive).

One winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the participation period. The prize draw and notification of the winner by email will take place on 9 October 2026.

Important: The ticket is not transferable to another person.

Data protection:

Your e-mail address will be stored for the purpose of administering the raffle and will be deleted after the raffle has ended.

Our privacy policy for the raffle

We would like to give you an overview of how we process your personal data when you participate in the raffle. This includes all data associated with your person.

According to Art. 1(1) GDPR, data protection serves to protect natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data. According to Art. 8 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, everyone has the right to the protection of personal data concerning them.

2. Purposes and legal basis of data processing

a. Your e-mail address is collected in order to administer the raffle, including to select the winner from among the valid entries, notify the winner and, where applicable, arrange for the prize to be sent to the winner.

b. Providing your e-mail address is voluntary. However, an e-mail address is required to participate in the raffle, as it is necessary to identify and notify the winner.

The e-mail address will only be used for the purposes of administering the raffle and, in the case of the winner, for arranging the delivery of the prize. It will be deleted thereafter.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

3. Information on your rights regarding your data

a) Right to information

You have the right to request information about your personal data stored by us:

  • which categories of personal data are stored (e.g. address data, payment data, company data),
  • the purposes for which the data is processed
  • to which recipients or categories of recipients the data is disclosed (e.g. shipping service providers, survey service providers) and in particular whether we transfer the data to a third country outside the European Union or to an international organization,
  • how long it is stored or what criteria are used to determine the duration of storage
  • whether automated decision-making, including profiling, is used and, if so, how this is structured and what effects it has,
  • if the data was not collected from you, all available information about where the data originated.

b) Disclosure, correction and deletion rights

You are also entitled to request your personal data stored by us

  • which we process on the basis of your consent or on the basis of a contract with you and the processing of which is carried out using automated procedures, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format to yourself or to a third party, insofar as this is technically feasible.
  • to have any inaccuracies corrected immediately and to have any incomplete data completed immediately
  • to have it erased, unless
    – your data is required to exercise the right to freedom of expression
    – or to fulfill a legal obligation
    – or to perform a task that is in the public interest
    – or to exercise, assert or defend legal claims.
  • or to restrict the processing of the data,
    – as long as we check whether your objection that the data is incorrect is correct
    – or if the data processing is not lawful and you refuse to delete the data
    – or if we no longer need the data, but you need it to pursue legal claims
    – or if you have objected to the data processing but it is not yet clear whether our legitimate reasons outweigh yours.

c) Right to withdraw consent, right to lodge a complaint, right to information about the obligation to provide data

You also have the right to

  • to withdraw your consent to data processing at any time with effect for the future. The processing of your data up to the time of revocation remains lawful. You can exercise your right of revocation by e-mail:
  • to lodge a complaint about us with a supervisory authority; you can contact the supervisory authority of your place of residence, your place of work or our company headquarters;
  • to receive information as to whether you as the data subject are obliged by law or contract to provide personal data and what the consequences are if you do not provide the data.

4. Right to object

You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data where such processing is based on legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The objection must be based on grounds relating to your particular situation. This does not apply where the processing is carried out for direct marketing purposes, including profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing. In this case, you may object at any time without having to provide reasons.
